I hope this finds you well; safe and healthy.
As we begin our 6th week of distance learning, we do so with the recent government notification of an extension of school closures through May 3rd. While the Covid 19 crisis continues to keep our lives on idle, our educational promise remains unwavering with our teachers seeking new and innovative resources to improve distance education; teaching and learning. I thank our teachers, our students and our parents for their commitment and dedication during this learning process. While the challenges have been monumental our teaching staff has continued to innovate and enhance the distance learning program to improve student interest and increase student engagement. We do realize that these difficult times have brought forth many challenges however, we celebrate these challenges as we see parent and student perseverance, on a daily basis, yielding academic advancements and student growth. We will continue to implement and improve teaching and learning and create personal experiences to help you and your children through this process. Please don’t worry about your children getting behind with learning. Everyone’s in the same boat, and when things get back to normal, we’ll make sure we get everyone back on track.
We realize that some families in our community don’t have full use of technology at home to support this type of learning, so we are focusing on supporting our students learning in the most widely accessible ways possible. We will continue to review how we offer our distance learning program and adjust and adapt throughout the journey.
If you are finding it difficult at home with your child and are struggling with any aspect of this process, please feel free to contact our counseling department, Ms. Doris Fino. She is available Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. via email firstname.lastname@example.org, and through Google Hangouts.
If you need technical support, please contact our Technology Department for assistance: email@example.com.
The STBS administration and teachers remain available for additional support Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
We will continue to keep you informed of additional government notifications as they become available.
We continue to remain extremely grateful for the support we are receiving from our entire learning community.
With Warm Regards,
